1940

'As late as 1940, dentist Melvin Page wrote in his book Degeneration-Regeneration that people shouldn't drink milk because it was "unnatural." He described milk as the underlying cause of colds, sinus infections, colitis, and cancer. In support of his theory he pointed to the dairy state of Wisconsin, which had a high rate of cancer deaths.'
