1868

1868-1872 the German clergyman, Edward Baltzer (inspired by the vegetarian doctrines of Kellogg and Graham) and influenced by Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland's Mackobiolik (1796), publishes Die naturliche Lebensweise (the natural way of life) a treatise on vegetarianism. Baltzer was also responsible for founding Germany's first vegetarian club.
